HELPING SUPPORT THE PRESERVATION OF THE GIANT PANDA
Pandas have been a part of Bam Boom Cloud’s journey since the very beginning. You might be wondering; where did we get the idea to start using pandas as our brand animal? Well, we want our customers to Grow, Strong, Fast just like bamboo and no animal likes bamboo more than pandas!
Bamboo makes up almost 99% of a Giant Panda’s food source. So, the lack of availability of bamboo is a concern for pandas, and for us!
As part of this drive, we’re donating to help support the preservation of the Panda through Pandas International for their amazing work across many reserves and protection programs around the world.
Below you can see a live feed of the Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve in China’s Wolong Valley Nature Reserve which is also funded by Pandas International.

HOW WE’RE HELPING TO PRESERVE PANDA POPULATIONS
WHY DO PANDAS NEED OUR SUPPORT?
Giant Pandas eat 42 different species of bamboo, each of which have a defined life cycle and will flower and die every 20 to 40 years (depending on the species). After bamboo is planted, it flowers, but then can take 4-10 years before the bamboo begins to grow again. So, when bamboo dies, Giant Pandas need to migrate to a different area to find different species of bamboo.
However, human damage to their habitat, earthquakes, mudslides and rockslides may prevent this migration that’s vital for them to find fresh bamboo. Replanting bamboo for both wild and captive pandas is an absolute priority for their survival.
WHAT DO WE DO TO SUPPORT PANDAS?
Pandas International is a charity Bam Boom Cloud supports and regularly donates to. Their mission is to ensure the preservation and propagation of the endangered Giant Panda, while raising public awareness, educating, providing support for research, habitat preservation and enhancement, and assistance to Giant Panda Centres. Every time a new customer goes live with us, we make a donation to Pandas International on their behalf.

”As medical and veterinary equipment improves, it is important to keep up with medical advances and the latest technology. Pandas International will use donations from Bam Boom Cloud to help upgrade the ultrasound equipment at the panda bases with new state of the art units.
Our veterinarians use ultrasounds to detect changes in the appearance of organs, tissues and vessels, and to detect abnormal masses, such as tumours. And most importantly they are used to detect if a mother is pregnant. The direct impact of Bam Boom Cloud's donations will be to improve the quality of the medical care which the captive giant pandas receive.
