What is Business Central?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) is Microsoft’s accounting system for small businesses. It’s part of the Dynamics family of products and integrates with all your existing Microsoft applications.
When BC is implemented with the award-winning Bam Boom Cloud method of starting small with just the basics and expanding as your business grows, it should be the last accounting system you’ll ever need!
What is Launchpad?
Launchpad is a rolling monthly subscription for BC which has a self-guided implementation process and extensive knowledge base that enables users to get up and running with BC at their own pace. We developed Launchpad to open up BC to small businesses who struggle to afford the initial upfront fees that come with traditional implementations.
This is the first time BC has been made available on a subscription basis and we’re super excited to show more small businesses the benefits of moving to the cloud and how BC can drive their business growth.
Who is Launchpad for?
Launchpad is for small businesses looking for a finance system that can grow with them. There are different subscription levels depending on the type and size of your business and how many system users you’ll need. We recommend you start by taking our quiz to find out which level is right for you.
For businesses with more complex needs, or for those who prefer a consultant-led rather than a self-guided approach, then Bam Boom Cloud also offer fixed-price, fixed-scope options for BC implementations. Look at the options on our website here.
How does Launchpad work?
Once you’ve chosen the subscription that’s right for your business, you can purchase online along with the licenses you need. Then you can get started with the self-guided implementation that will take you through how to configure and personalise your new system.
The step-by-step configuration covers all the key processes required to upload your company data. We also give you access to the knowledge hub containing all the training you need to empower you to use the system efficiently.
We have also developed a checklist for success to follow to ensure you get a fully rounded view of everything BC has to offer. There are 10 steps on the checklist, covering the most important features and finishing with advice on how to extend the system’s functionality when you’re ready.
What about support?
While the implementation and setup are self-guided, you are definitely not alone! The step-by-step wizard has been developed and written by consultants with 20+ years’ experience implementing BC for small businesses so you can be assured we know our stuff!
You are essentially getting all the guidance you would have in a traditional consultant-led implementation, but on your timescales and at your own pace. We know that in a small business, time is precious so Launchpad offers flexibility to make the move to a new finance system on your terms.
Can I talk to a real person?
Yes! There are checkpoints scheduled with our trained consultants to make sure you’re on the right track throughout the first few weeks.
You can also access our Support Portal at any time to learn more about tips, training and other resources that can help you along the process.
When you’re comfortable using BC, you can also schedule time with our consultants as required, to help optimise your system and discuss any additional requirements. For example, our consultants can help set up BC add-ons that can really supercharge your system.
