Managing a small business can be difficult. Among the challenges faced by many (if not all) small business owners is maintaining good customer relationships.

To ease the burden on businesses, Microsoft has launched a nifty new tool that provides an easy way to track and grow customer relationships using Outlook.

Released last year for Windows desktops, Outlook Customer Manager is now being rolled out to all Office 365 Business Premium Subscribers worldwide, as well as being available for Outlook on the web and Outlook for iOS.

What’s more, the clever computer boffins at Microsoft have enhanced the service so that users can manage customer relationships far more effectively, with new features including intelligent reminders and integration with Bing, Cortana and Microsoft Flow. Impressed? We were.

Still not convinced?

Here are some of the other cool features it offers:

– No more missing important customer emails. When an email lands in your inbox, Outlook Customer Manager checks to see if it contains a request for a meeting, information or a file, and automatically creates a reminder for you on the ‘Today’ page.

– Keeping tabs on business customers’ details can be time-consuming, but not anymore. Using information sourced from search engine Bing, Outlook Customer Manager suggests customer information such as address, telephone number, website etc, and automatically adds it to the company’s profile.

– Using Microsoft Flow, various business tools and ‘apps’ can be integrated with Outlook Customer Manager in order to easily and efficiently manage customer information. For example, new subscribers who sign up to your newsletter in Mailchimp are automatically added as business contacts. It’s monkey business!

– Outlook Customer Manager offers the option to let Cortana, Microsoft’s personal digital assistant, arrange and schedule meetings on your behalf, leaving you free to get on with other tasks.
If you’re an Office 365 Business Premium customer, all you need to do to get started is click on the Outlook Customer Manager icon in Outlook and away you go.
