Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM improves how you interact and do business with your customers, by helping you manage and maintain customer relationships, track sales leads, marketing, and pipeline, and deliver actionable data. But are you using the system to its fullest potential?
I’ve got you covered – I’ll walk you through my favourite tips and tricks to make your day-to-day use of the system easier!
Tip #1: Accessing charts
Did you know you don’t have to add a chart to a dashboard to be able to access it?
Charts can be accessed from each of the entities. For example, you can view charts directly from your leads by the following steps:
• In your CRM, click on ‘Leads’
• Select the view that you want to see the data for (for example ‘Active Accounts’)
• Choose ‘Show Chart’:
The chart displayed can be changed by using the chart selector drop down:
Voila!
Tip #2: Detailed charts
Being able to see your data in charts and graphs is a great way of helping to digest that information. But did you know that in Sales Pro charts can be drilled into, allowing you to gather greater detail?
“How does it work?”, I hear you ask.
Here’s how… Firstly, navigate to your chart, then click on one of the values (in this example, I will click on October 2021).
You will now have the ability to choose what attribute to drill down by:
Once you have selected the attribute you want to drill down by, you can then select how you want it to be displayed:
Here you have it! We can now see that by drilling into the accounts that were added in October 2021, there were 7 Canadian accounts, 1 in Ireland, 46 in the UK and 23 in the USA:
What’s even better, is that you can apply exactly the same method to drill into this new graph too.
Those were some of my favourite CRM tricks. There’s some really exciting things you can do to make your day-to-day use of the system easier.
