CAN POPDOCK BE USED TO CONSOLIDATE DATA FROM DIFFERENT BUSINESS CENTRAL ENVIRONMENTS SUCH AS COMPANIES WITH DIFFERENT LEGISLATIVE REQUIREMENTS?

Yes, in our webinar on how PopDock can be used with Business Central which you can find here, we demonstrated how PopDock can show data from multiple Business Central environments in different locations (US, EU).

If completely separate tenants of Business Central due to localisation requirements, PopDock accesses the data at the database level, so it will be functionally the same.

If you have multiple currencies, PopDock looks from a data perspective without managing conversions. You will need to make sure you are pulling from the functional currency field to be comparing ‘apples to apples’ with regard to currencies.

IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM YOUR LEGACY SYSTEM TO BUSINESS CENTRAL, WILL YOU BE ABLE TO PULL CRUCIAL DATA WITH POPDOCK FROM THE LEGACY SYSTEM AND STORE THE DATA UNTIL IT IS NEEDED AT A LATER STAGE?

PopDock is not a migration tool. Our product SmartConnect can help with data migration. However, with PopDock, we have the ability to move historical data from a legacy ERP into an Azure data lake where it can be stored until needed. PopDock can then quickly and easily retrieve that historical data for use in SmartLists or merge lists created with legacy data and their current Business Central.

IS POPDOCK LICENSED PER USER OR PER ORGANISATION?

PopDock is sold as a monthly subscription that is available to the whole organisation. The product tiers are based on the number of queries the customer will run on a monthly basis and whether or not they will require any custom lists. Support is free for all tiers.
