We breakdown the key features, updates and additions you’ll be receiving for free if you’re already a Business Central customer.
Whilst there’s a huge range of new improvements and updates, (and we cover this all later on), we wanted to highlight some of our favourite shiny new additions we think you’ll be excited for… I know we are!

The core client is being given a huge boost in speed, so you can do more, and do it faster.
• Teams love
We’re huge fans of Teams and being able to integrate BC is a game changer! With live access to BC data in Teams channels, you’ll have instant visibility to core business information without even having to open BC.
• Company Hub
Is managing multiple companies giving you a headache? Say goodbye to the Accountant Hub, and hello to the slick new Company Hub. Manage multiple businesses quickly and easily.
• Global goodness
Brazil, Ireland, and Lithuania now get full regional support.
• Group VAT MTD reporting
New additions for Making Tax Digital support.

Better with Office 365
This is a big one… new Teams integration!
You can now access business data directly through Teams channels, helping your teams make faster decisions with boosted collaboration.
Microsoft Power Platform integration
This release includes new and improved integrations with the Microsoft Power Platform. With improvements to virtual entities and existing connectors.
Productivity
This update has great new features to help boost productivity and includes updates for several customer requests such as returning to the request page after previewing a report, and the ability to change the assigned printer before printing a report.
Geographic expansion
You can now onboard more countries with the coming updates. With Brazil, Ireland, and Lithuania being added in this update wave.
Customer-requested enhancements
Lots of new updates to features that have been requested from customers through the Ideas portal and feedback requests. Areas such as email setup and use are being enhanced and much more.
Customer migration tools
New migration tools are being rolled out to help customers move from systems like Dynamics NAV and Dynamics GP to Business Central Online. Including selective migration of customers, vendors and chart of accounts setups.
Modern development tools
Having moved to Visual Studio Code, this release includes updates to enhance productivity for developers.
Seamless service
Updates to performance, reliability, support are all included. With new page re-sizing options to help support accessibility as well as new security updates.
There are also new improvements for partners, including Azure Insights which brings further telemetry visibility, and improvements to conflict handling and synchronization with Common Data Services.
