As a Disability Confident Employer, we strive to create a culture of inclusion to empower everyone.
Diversity and inclusion.
Diversity and inclusion is a huge part of who we are here at Bam Boom Cloud. We strive to create a culture of inclusion to empower everyone – doing everything we can to make sure all of our people can reach their full potential.
It’s eye opening to understand that 1 billion, or 15% of the world’s population experience some form of disability.
As such we have several systems in place to make sure we are as open and flexible a business as possible for both our own teams and people, and for our customers.
Our teams are trained in Microsoft Accessibility, we’re a Disability Confident Employer, and we have a wealth of technology solutions to help with accessibility.
“Being a female, tech CEO means that I can create inclusive products for our customers and at the same time create an inclusive culture within the business. One where people can shine, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
We have created a business that feels like a family. We look out for each other, support each other, and never judge. We recognise that we have individual strengths, and, with a deeper level of understanding and love, these strengths can work together for the advantage of everyone.”
Vicky Critchley
As well as being CEO, Vicky Critchley is Bam Boom Cloud’s Head of Diversity and Inclusion.
Bam Boom Cloud are proud to be part of the Women in Dynamics initiative, supported by Directions 4 Partners, to promote diversity and inclusion within the international Dynamics Community. • Our offices are fully wheel-chair accessible with lifts and disabled parking spaces.
Accessible tools to help with inclusion.
Our Digital Culture and Modern Workplace offerings support accessibility, diversity and inclusion by making sure all members of the team are engaged and included in everything we do.
With our Red Hot Teams Cultures engagement and culture apps that are built on a foundation of Microsoft Teams, it allows all your people, whether office or home based, to be linked into your culture, with teams, coms, feedback and rewards all powered over Teams.
Microsoft’s Power Apps Accessibility Checker was used in the creation of these 5 apps to create an accessible and inclusive experiences for everyone.
This includes making sure the apps can be navigated using only the keyboard by ensuring the tabindex property is set correctly across the various screens and controls in the app so the tab key will move between them in the correct order. Likewise, the focus on each control has been checked to ensure its visible so that users using keyboard navigation can see which is selected at any time as they move around the app screens.
We have also ensured that the screens within the app are named clearly and logically and that for all controls on a screen, the accessibility label property is completed with helpful text so that visually impaired users will know what is selected at any time.
Our teams are trained in Microsoft Accessibility, which allows us to work with our customers who have accessibility needs, and we can train them how to use Windows 10 and O365 features to provide the solutions they need, including things such as:
• Vision – High contrast settings, colour blindness settings, increased font magnification, audio feedback etc.
• Hearing – Closed captions and visual cues for sounds.
With the addition of tools such as Learning Tools, Editor, Text Suggestions, Dictate, Narrator and much more, we can help create the ideal setup for anyone that needs a custom setup to work as effectively as possible.
Our Digital Culture and inclusion policies have put us in the top 20 UK companies to Work for list for 4 years in a row.
