INFRASTRUCTURE CONSULTANT

Our business at Bam Boom Cloud is BOOM-ing and 2022 is shaping up to be our best year yet! We are looking for an extraordinary Infrastructure Consultant to join our BAM-ily and this is where you come in.

So, what do we need from you?

This role is perfect for someone who likes a fast-paced work environment, has a positive outlook, and understands that teamwork is everything! With the opportunity to work across multiple business areas, this role will keep the ideal person enthused and motivated.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with the following technologies as a minimum – Anything above this would be a plus!

  • Office 365 (Admin, configuration, and deployment)
  • Windows 10
  • Azure technologies – Experience of VM’s, EMS, Intune
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Exposure and understanding of M365 Business Premium licenses and features, Intune, Microsoft Defender.

The ability to think through a problem you’ve never seen before and work with a client and the team to resolution is a must. Experience with Veeam, Mimecast, Datto, Sophos and SonicWall firewalls would also be a huge advantage.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with our external clients you’ll be the hands-on individual supporting with the implementation of various projects.

You may be required to travel on-site, around 5-10 days per month depending on the customers needs.

It’s exciting! One morning you could be delivering an O365 migration, the next it could be an Azure Virtual Machine migration, followed up by helping one of our clients migrate to W10 and M365. No two days are the same.

If you’re the type of person who likes to keep their hands busy and get stuck in with all things Microsoft, then this is for you!

Here’s some slightly less interesting but still important stuff we need to tell you:

The role is full time, permanent, 37.5 hours/week. It will be a hybrid working role – though you can work from where you choose, when you choose. The requirement is at least 5 days per month in our Derby Headquarters. Salary is dependent on experience. We’ll provide all the equipment you need to do your job (laptop etc.).

So, what do we need from you?

The perfect person will be fun, Dynamic (pun very much intended 😉). We’d love for you to have Business Central experience, particularly on SaaS. You should love new ways of working and be open to learning new things.

The perfect person for this role has a natural ability to build strong relationships with people and knows how to go above and beyond in “WOW-ing” our clients.

Knowledge of Business Finance and/or Business Operations and processes are essential. If you have any additional knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Nav or Business Central then that would be a huge bonus.

You need to have the want and drive to keep learning, not being afraid to ask questions and learn from mistakes.

We are constantly innovating and improving how we deliver, sell and support Business Central. We want you to contribute to that.

Career progression will be in your hands – if you want to go deeper into your role e.g. learning more technically, that’s fine. If you want to take on more responsibilities for the team, that could work too. If you want to broaden your role, and do more within your day to day responsibilities, that works!

What we need more than anything is a willingness to work with the team, get stuck in and deliver to a high standards

And what will you actually do?

  • Managing around 20 Business Application client accounts
  • Helping your clients to optimise their use Microsoft business applications (Business Central) using your business and finance knowledge
  • Maintaining and building strong relationships with your clients
  • Working with the Support Team to ensure service levels are kept high
  • First point of liaison between your client at the wider business keeping them informed and up to date on project progress, new technologies and innovations

Our implementations are fixed price and fixed scope. This means the way we work is a little different to a ‘traditional’ NAV or Business Central partner. We don’t look to sell more days on projects, we instead look for high volume of implementations. The important skills are therefore being able to understand a customer’s business and how we’ll be able to configure our packs to suit their desired outcomes and business pain points.

This means a different way of thinking, where the customer experience and efficient delivery of implementation is more important than an extremely deep technical knowledge.

We don’t need sticklers for ‘how they’ve always done it’. We are constantly innovating and improving how we deliver, sell and support Business Central. We want you to contribute to that.

What we need more than anything is a willingness to work with the team, be flexible, get stuck in and deliver to a high standard

And what will you actually do?

  • You’ll be working as a Customer Engagement Manager in the New Business Team helping client’s move from their current, outdated accounting systems.
  • You’ll be finding out your prospects pain points to understand what their objectives are. Why are they moving systems, why have they come to us, how can we help them?
  • You won’t need Sales experience for this role – we can help you with that! And ironically, we don’t like to “sell” as such – We just need someone that loves talking to people, can build a connection with a prospect quickly, and someone who can educate them about our approach and how we implement the system.
  • You’ll be juggling lots of opportunities at the same time – so being organised and having a positive outlook is key – and don’t be afraid to ask those stupid questions, working together is how we roll here at Bam Boom Cloud!
  • Integrity means everything to us – so you will need to do what you say you are going to do. This may involve co-ordinating with other departments in the wider team, putting your excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills to good use!

Depending on where you live, you’ll either be home-based or based at our office location – though you can work from where you choose, when you choose. Salary is dependent on experience.
